ENDOSCOPIC FOREHEAD LIFT

The new endoscopic forehead lift is one of Dr Apesos' favorite operations. Small incisions are made in the scalp, about 1-centimeter above the hairline. A surgical endoscope (small video camera) is used to raise the forehead tissue and allow for complete visualization on the television monitors, through the 1/2-inch incisions. After the lifting, the forehead is secured with permanent sutures and absorbable screws designed at Indiana University. This allows increased versatility for different hair types while not altering the hairline. The procedure leaves minimal scarring. A detailed discussion with Dr. Apesos or your experienced plastic surgeon and reviewing the surgeon's photograph album of results is a good idea before undertaking this procedure.
