Wrinkling caused by the pulling action of muscles attached to the undersurface of the skin are the wrinkles that can treated with Botulinum Type A (Botox®). These wrinkles become more pronounced with sighing, squinting the eyes and other dynamic facial expressions. Botulinum Type A (Botox®) acts to temporarily paralyze the actions of these muscles so that the wrinkles do not show with facial expressions.
